Asana alternative
An Asana alternative with one price for the whole team
Omega Work is project management software with the same views teams use in Asana — list, board, timeline, calendar — and with portfolios, goals, workload and approvals in every plan. You pay per workspace, not per person: £35 a month for up to 15 people, excluding tax. Bring your projects across with the CSV file Asana exports.

In short
What changes compared with Asana
- The price doesn’t grow with every person. Asana is priced per user: Starter at US$10.99 and Advanced at US$24.99 per person per month, billed annually. Omega Work is priced by team size: £19 for up to 5 people, £35 for up to 15, £69 for up to 40, £129 for up to 100.
- No “advanced” tier. In Asana, portfolios, goals, workload and approvals are on the Advanced plan. In Omega Work they’re in every plan, along with timeline, dashboards, forms and rules.
- Your projects come with you. Asana exports each project as CSV; Omega Work recognises the columns in that file (name, section, assignee email, dates, notes, completed).
- Data in the EU, billing in your local currency. Workspaces are hosted in the European Union, and invoices are issued through Stripe in the currency of your workspace’s country: pounds sterling, US, Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars, or Swiss francs.
- What Asana has that Omega Work doesn’t: hundreds of ready-made integrations, two-factor authentication and SAML single sign-on. If you need those, read “when to stay” below.

From Asana to Omega Work
Moving a project across in ten minutes
One project at a time: that way you choose what to bring and what to leave, instead of moving years of finished work.
How to export
- In Asana, open the project and click the arrow next to its name.
- Choose “Export/Print” › “CSV”. The file downloads straight away, with one row per task.
- In Omega Work, open (or create) the project, then project menu › “Import from Excel or CSV…” and pick the file. You’ll see a preview — how many tasks, which new sections, which rows have a problem and why — and nothing is written until you click “Import”.
- Before importing, invite your team: assignees are matched by email, and anyone not yet in the workspace is left unassigned (the preview tells you which rows).
What comes across to Omega Work
- Every task name, and the sections (they become project sections, created if missing)
- The assignee, matched by their Asana email
- Start date and due date
- The task notes, which become the description
- Completed tasks, which arrive already closed
What stays behind
- Comments and change history: Asana’s CSV doesn’t include them
- Attachments: download them from Asana and upload them to the task
- Dependencies, rules, forms and dashboards: recreate them — often a good chance to simplify
Lots of projects, or a whole company?
For bigger migrations we look at your exported files together before promising anything: get in touch. Keep Asana running until your first project in Omega Work has been live for a week.
Honestly
When it makes sense to stay with Asana
Asana is a mature product, and for some teams it remains the right choice. Stay if:
- you rely on ready-made integrations with specialist tools (software development, marketing automation, CRMs);
- your company requires single sign-on (SAML), automated user provisioning or two-factor authentication;
- your people work mostly from their phones: our iPhone and Android apps are companions to the browser, not a replacement for it;
- your processes have been built on Asana for years and licence costs aren’t a concern.
Omega Work makes sense when the per-person bill hurts, when you need portfolios and workload without moving to the Advanced plan, and when you want one price for the whole team. The way to find out is to try it on a real project: the first month is free and no card is needed.
Questions
What people ask us about this
What is a good Asana alternative for a small team?
Omega Work is project management software with lists, Kanban boards, timeline (Gantt), calendar, dashboards, portfolios, goals, workload, forms and rules. It’s priced per workspace, not per person: £35 a month for up to 15 people, excluding tax, with every feature included.
How much does Asana cost for 10 people?
According to the public price list checked on 5 October 2026, billed annually: Starter is US$10.99 per person per month, so US$109.90 a month for 10 people; Advanced is US$24.99, so US$249.90 a month. Omega Work for 10 people costs £35 a month, excluding tax, with every feature.
Can I import my projects from Asana?
Yes. Asana exports each project as CSV from the project menu (Export/Print › CSV). In Omega Work you upload it with “Import from Excel or CSV…”: name, section, assignee, dates, notes and completion status come across. Comments and attachments aren’t in Asana’s CSV and need to be moved by hand.
Does Omega Work have a mobile app like Asana?
Omega Work runs in the browser on phones and tablets, and you can add it to your home screen so it opens like an app, with notifications. Companion apps for iPhone and Android are rolling out on the App Store and Google Play: you sign in with the account you already have. If your team works mostly on mobile, Asana’s apps are the more mature choice today.
Do clients and freelancers cost extra in Omega Work?
You can invite them to a single project, to comment or only to view. They count towards your plan like any other active person: the price only goes up when you move to the next tier (5, 15, 40, 100 people), not with every invitation.
